Kids N Motion = Kids N Parents Happy!
Our Kids (OK) highly recommends a trip to Kids N Motion. It is described as an inflatable party palace and playgym, which exceeds any preconceived notions of gyms with inflatables.
Top Ten Reasons to Make a Trip to Kids N Motion:
10. There are two inflatable play rooms overflowing with activities, where kids are allowed to spend 45 minutes in each room for a total of 1.5 hours of outstanding open gym time.
9. Overwhelming highlights include: two oversized moon bounces and four oversized slide inflatables. The slide inflatables contain single, double and triple slides. There is an obstacle course attached to the single slide in the first play room, and in the second play room, there are two more difficult obstacle courses attached to the double slide. The stairs to the top of the second play room obstacle course slide and slide as well appear to be steeper than those in the first play room. Overall, the second play room contains more activities and is more advanced than the first play room. Both moon bounces contain balls, but the moon bounce in the second play room has basketball hoops.
8. There are many activities to occupy even the two and under age group. There is a car coaster ride, an airplane ride, a castle, playground sets, slides, games built into the walls, a wooden stationary train, padded climbing wedges, among many other things. The beautifully painted clouds against the sky blue walls are also an attraction worth noting.
7. Kids N Motion is extremely clean, comfortably cool, carpeted and padded at activity landing zones, and has plenty of benches. Food is not allowed in the play rooms, but there are water fountains in both play rooms. There are ample bathrooms in the lobby, and fun music can be heard throughout the facility.
6. Emphasis on the rules appears to be a priority here, which also makes the parents happy! Before children are allowed in and when children make the transition to the second play room, the staff is very thorough in explaining the rules and even quizzes the children. Rules are clearly posted throughout the two rooms. Children may be asked to open their mouths to ensure they are free of anything. Socks are required to participate.
5. There are plenty of open gym times from which to choose. Monday through Friday from 10 to 11:30am is open gym time for children ages six and under. The following are afternoon gym times for all ages: Monday from 5:30 to 7pm, and Wednesday and Friday from 1 to 2:30pm. Open gym time for the weekend changes every weekend based on birthday parties, so please consult the website for further information.
4. The staff is friendly, thorough and accommodating. A staff member named TJ even played along when our four year-old reviewer engaged her in a game of tag during the transition to the second play room. TJ was thorough in her explanation of the more advanced second play room as there is a spot on the obstacle course inflatable where children may not be able to be seen from the outside. Also, it is suggested that the little ones (roughly ages two – three) have an adult with them on these obstacle courses. It is reassuring to know this in advance with no surprises.
3. Reasonable rates! At $8 per child ages four and over and $5 per child ages three and under, it is very reasonable compared to other gyms with fewer features. They also offer a Parents Night Out every Friday night from 5:30 to 9:30pm, which is reasonable too at $20 for the 1st child and $10 per additional sibling. Discount punch passes are also available. They do not accept American Express.
2. There are numerous additional offerings besides open gym time and Parents Night Out. There also offer Parents Morning Out, Gym and Learn Play School, Summer Fitness Mini Camps and of course, birthday parties. In addition to the previously-mentioned two inflatable play rooms, there is also a non-inflatable toddler play area, and a large birthday party room. Those participating in the Gym and Learn Play School do not interfere with the open gym time participants as they are always occupied in different rooms.
If having a birthday party at such a fun venue is not enough, they also offer a Stuff An Animal Party, which is similar to a Build A Bear Party. See website for further information.
1. Your child(ren) may even take a surprise nap on the car ride home or once you get home from all of the Kids N Motion happiness!
