The philosophy: To offer an all weather facility where kids can burn off lots of energy while having a blast.
The description: The place is a huge (10,000 + square foot) open space filled with all kinds of inflatable devices (aka moon bounces). The bounces are arranged in a circle around the place with a rubber track that is used for travel between the pieces of equipment.
The inflatable devices include a huge slide, obstacle courses, plain bouncing and combination packages. The equipment is suited for different levels of jumping and climbing abilities.
The establishment is incredibly fresh feeling with fresh sunlight (when available) shining through the windows, bright colored surroundings and super high ceilings. It is kept extremely clean and all equipment is easily accessible.
Loud music thumps throughout while the children play. There is also a flat screen TV with cartoons above the main desk.
There are vending machines for drinks and water fountains. The bathrooms are clean and easy to find. There is a sitting area for parents and non-participants in the center of the room. A room in the back is dedicated to parties for group pictures. It features character favorites on the wall - princesses, Superman, Disney characters and more.
Other info: This gym is for ages 18 months and up. Parents must monitor children at all times during open play. Certain equipment is not recommended for younger ages, but if the child and parent are okay with it, Sports Bounce is okay with it too. No height restrictions either.
Classes: The classes are structured where they begin calisthenics to warm up. Laps around the gym are up next and plenty of jumping time. After class, children are invited to jump for free during open gym time.
Birthday parties: Parties available on weekends. Each party begins with exclusive time in the "FUN PHOTO ROOM" filled with fun picture-taking opportunities for all members of your group. Use the inflatable big red chair and props (giant ice cream cones, jumbo crayons, jumbo sunglasses, etc.) to have fun photos taken of your group.
Spend 60 minutes of exclusive time in the inflatables arena. Parties have access to all 8 moonbounces at once. Next, parties go to a private party room. Pizza can be ordered and cakes brought in. Sport Bounce provides drinks for the children in your party and your child gets to take home a Kasey Kangaroo t-shirt and the group photo is given to each child as a gift.
Party Costs: $295 for 15 children, $345 for 25 children. Packages include:

- All jumpers must be wearing socks.
- A liability waiver is required for ALL jumpers.
- Coupons and discounts cannot be combined.
- On school holidays (not weather-related closings), open gym times are for ALL age groups 2-10 and are from 9am-5pm.
- No food or outside drinks allowed (other than water bottles) during Open Gym times.

- For parties, cake/cupcakes and bottled water can be brought in. Pizza delivery must be through Papa Johns.
Cost: Open Gym sessions are 2 hours and is $9/child ages 2 and up. For multiple children in the same family, a discount of $2 off for each additional child. Discounts and coupons cannot be combined. When a child is enrolled in a fitness class, Open Gym is only $7/session. For children 18 - 24 months there is a special $6 deal - check the website for details.
The perks: No membership fees. Accommodates younger ages and the lack of height restrictions is a huge plus for ambitious young ones and vertically challenged older ones. It keeps children busy and active when the weather is not cooperating.
What else: It is located in an office suite. Parking is limited, access in and out of the building is easy with no steps.
The no eating rule during open gym time is a bit difficult to work around as young children often need a pretzel or cheese snack to keep them going. If the weather is nice, you can feed children on the sidewalk or grass outside the building, but there are no benches to sit on and the grass can be wet.
On the upside, once the kids work up a big appetite, you can drive about 4 minutes to Wegmans Grocery store. The grocery store has a large eatery with pizza, sushi, hot bar, salad bar, a coffee and ice cream stands and more. It also features a kids’ play area for children ages 3 and up that is supervised and free while parents shop. It is a perfect place to go after jumping to get some lunch and do some shopping. The surrounding shopping center features restaurants also easy for lunch stops.
Our Kids Reader Comments:
- "Thank you for sharing the information about Sport Bounce, as a working mom of 2 kids ages 3 1/2 and 18 months this is a great option to burn some energy during the week. We attended the first open gym this past Thursday from 6-8pm and it was wonderful. The facility is clean, bright, well organized and the owners could not be more attentive and sweet.
We had a great family evening ending with a trip to Five Guys just around the corner (several restaurant options are available) on Waxpool Road.
My only suggestion is the owners consider adding an open gym time weekend mornings especially during the winter. While it's true there is no food permitted, my kids didn't ask once because they were having way too much fun." - Resa K.
