Adventure Theatre presents The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, a stunning holiday fantasy so perfectly performed by two actors.  Yes, just two actors.  Tom Story, first time director at Adventure Theatre, does a remarkable job of bringing this classic book (by C.S. Lewis) to life.   With 10 characters to play in only one hour, Audrey Bertaux and Chris Dinolfo are dynamite and seamless in giving the audience a show to remember this holiday season.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe at Adventure TheatreThe Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is about four children (Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy) who are sent to live in the countryside.  While there, Peter and Lucy begin to explore the mysterious house, coming upon the infamous wardrobe.  Through the wardrobe, they discover a secret portal that takes them to the magical world of Narnia.  There, an evil White Witch rules the kingdom.  The four siblings discover Mr. Tumnus, mighty Aslan and others along the way. Their quest to save Narnia leads them to a fierce battle between the White Witch and Aslan. Can Lucy, her family and Mr. Tumnus find a way to rescue Narnia?

Throughout the one hour performance, the use of puppetry, magic and talented acting moves the story along at a brisk pace.  The set (designed by Luciana Stecconi) is gorgeous, simple and a great use of space.  Bertaux and Dinolfo infuse the audience with humor and powerful movements keeping the plot easy to follow yet true to the book.  With this in mind, Our Kids recommends this performance for children 5 and up as the story moves very quickly and could be hard to follow for the younger set.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe keeps the spirit of the season alive and is the perfect outing for families this holiday season!
